What is CrossFit:
Constantly Varied: In CrossFit we use the abbreviation “WOD” for workout of the day. Everyday our workouts change, constantly varying movements. We incorporate Gymnastics, Weight Lifting and Metabolic Conditioning in a sport- like atmosphere
High-Intensity: We encourage our athletes and clients to continuously compete against themselves. We strive to meet and beat personal goals daily. Whether it’s a 1 rep max lift or a time to beat for a WOD, we push ourselves and encourage each other in a positive uplifting environment!
Functional Movements: Functional movements are performed in a wave of contractions from core to extremity and are considered compound movements or multi- joint movements. These functional movements activate numerous muscle fibers within multiple muscles, increasing the body’s hormonal response. Exercise regimens that produce high hormonal response increase bone density, and muscle strength, Speed and Accuracy of movements (agility), and Endurance (cardiovascular conditioning) It also increases recovery rates so athletes will be able to perform at full exertion quicker.”
Corey: Owner / Head Coach
As a coach, my job and my passion is to help people live better, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. I strive to be a teacher, not to just plan a workout. I believe that being healthy is a lifestyle choice and I understand the fact that life is lived outside of the gym. Therefore my goal is to help my clients live better by giving each person the knowledge to make wise decisions outside of the gym while making them stronger inside of it.
One of the best parts of my job is helping people meet their goals, whatever that goal may be. This can range from helping an athlete cross the finish line, helping them get in shape for a certain sport, getting that first pullup, or from dropping a couple pounds to a couple dozen. Each client will decide the what andwhy; I am in charge of the how!
My program is based on functional movements and constantly varied workouts. Everything that I teach can be regressed and progressed for every fitness level. Regardless of where each individual starts, hard work combined with proper nutrition will produce results that are evident. Results ARE guaranteed.

Coach Allison
I love the positive environment that the CrossFit culture brings to every session both as a coach and as a Crossfitter. It is amazing to see people encouraging, challenging and cheering on one another, which helps to push everyone to achieve their goals. Crossfit inspires people to challenge themselves to accomplish goals they thought were impossible and allows them to achieve them step by step. I enjoy watching people accomplish things they were convinced they could not do and to reach fitness levels they never thought possible. Crossfit enables us to rejoice with every step closer to that goal, one more pound, 1 second faster, those are the important numbers in Crossfit. Personally helping people to become more active and to see the improvement in their day to day lives is rewarding and inspiring as their coach and as a fellow athlete.

Coach John:
My experience in coaching dates back to 1999 when I began teaching martial arts, more specifically Taekwondo, to kids and young adults. Many of the youth that I trained went on to compete in international competitions. In 2001 I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. The Corps aided in my understanding of mental and physical discipline, and educated me about the value of honor, courage, and commitment. After serving in the USMC I came back to Seattle and spent many hours in the gym; this is where I first observed the personal training profession. Impressed by their understanding of health and fitness and dedication to helping others I decided to become a personal trainer. I spent many years developing my own knowledge through the attainment of multiple certifications including the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CSCS) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT, PES). Over the years I have had the opportunity to train various individuals ranging from young adults to senior citizens, and people with severe health problems to professional athletes. Apart from personal training I have held a variety of positions within the fitness industry; these include Fitness Director of two major facilities, Membership Sales Manager, and Personal Training Manager. After years in management I made the decision to return to my roots and focus on what attracted me to the fitness industry in the first place; subsequently, I stumbled upon CrossFit. Straightaway I knew that this was something special. There are so many aspects of CrossFit I have come to appreciate and cherish that it would take forever to name them all! When Corey McGee came to me suggesting that I would make a great coach I graciously and energetically accepted the opportunity (without hesitation). The chance to do something I both live and love for a career? What more could I ask for!
